Hi: We're (left to right) Rosie, Daisey and Poppy. We're 3 spayed, female Doxie/Terrier Mixes ranging fron 8-9 months to 1-1.5 yrs. old and weight approx. 12 lbs. each. We've been vet checked, vaccinated, heartworm tested, wormed and microchipped. Our foster mom taught us how to use a "doggie door" at our foster home. We're true to the Dachshund breed because were curious, clever, very lively, brave, amusing and extremely affectionate!! Even though we were very neglected when we were rescued we are definitely "people" dogs and love affection, especially belly rubs. Your lap is a favorite place for us to be plus we give kisses. We're also good with the other little dogs in our foster home but will bark at the cats if given the opportunity. Playful during the day we are but we settle down nicely at night in our corralled area and good until morning when we go outside. Therefore, we need homes where people are NOT gone long hours. We need some additional training and the love and attention we deserve. We've already displayed our excellent temperaments so that's an indicator of us being great dogs with the right owners. Our breed does require that our owners know about the Dachshund breed and how to be our pack leader. We've only been exposed to a small child (6 yr. old) once and did fine, but a home with older respectful children might be a better match. We've had no exposure to larger dogs so a home with a resident dog close to our size is required. So come and meet us soon. Read about Dachshunds in dogbreedinfo.com to make sure we're the right breed for you.
I'm Panda! The name fits me well. Not only do I look like a Panda bear I'm a major "people" dog and LOVE to cuddle with you. I'm a 1 yr. old, 12 lb, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, spayed female, Parson (Jack) Russell Terrier Mix. I'm NOT the typical high energy Russel but very gentle, more low key and extremely loving. Oh yes, I'm a lap dog and will give you kisses. I'm a 100% companion dog. People have said I'm a "sweetheart of a girl." I'm playful and would be great with older respectful children. Laying on my back for tummy rubs is high on my list.
While I'm waiting for my new family to find me my foster mom taught me to sit, am crate trained and know all about a doggie door. She even introduced me to a tooth brush! I'm pretty good at fetching balls but I don't always bring them back. There are other small dogs in my foster home plus dog friendly cats and I get along with everybody, but my humans are my first priority!! I love walks and an excellent car passenger so you can easily take me with you. I was even taken to a residential care home to visit a friends husband and everyone loved me. A loving home where someone is home most of the time to give me lots of attention and take me places is what I want. I'd love to be the only dog with my humans. Come soon and meet me. I'm waiting for you. Kisses, Panda
My name is Bohdi and I’m a purebred, neutered, healthy Pomeranian at 6 yrs. of age and weigh about 15 pds. I’m kinda handsome too don’t you think with my beautiful hair? I’m OK with you combing/brushing me which I need, but I get somewhat testy if you accidentally pull on a tangle – it hurts!! I’m used to wearing a muzzle when my nails get cut. My vaccinations are current. I’m a typical Pomeranian for those who know the breed. On the positive side, I’m a great companion lap dog. Being picked up is OK with me too. I love my humans but will be partial to just one. I’ve spent more of my life living with a lady so I’m partial to females, but that’s not to say I don’t like males. I love walks and am leash trained and crate trained. I’ll wait by the door if I have to go out plus I’m left out frequently. In nice weather the door to the yard is left open for me. I’d probably get used to a doggie door real quick. I do like my personal space but will sleep on your bed with you if you let me. Playful I am especially in the morning but later in the day I want my quiet time and don’t want to be bothered. Older children are OK with me but not young children or toddlers – typical of my breed as well. On the other side, since I’ve always been the only dog for a long time, I tend to be a little shy and don’t want to share my home with another dog and am food aggressive toward other dogs. I’d prefer to be left alone when I’m eating. I’m somewhat verbal and most likely will bark when people come into my home. My protective tendencies come out under those circumstances. So you can say I’m a good watchdog. I have marked, currently, because a new “young” dog, new items and more people now live in my home. I just don’t have the temperament for that much activity and a "young" dog whose now in my space. My present owner knows I’m not happy and wants to see me in a better environment even though she will really miss me.
Currently I’m out of my comfort zone in my present home. Therefore I need a new rather quiet, loving, adult home with older children as the only dog with people who understand my breed. I need to have someone who will form a strong,
affectionate bond with me; and I will in return give you all my love . I’m much more comfortable and better behaved in a stable environment without a lot of change. Are you that right home? I’m waiting to meet you. Bohdi P.S. Check dogbreedinfo.com and read all about my breed to make sure I'm the right dog for you.
Hi! I'm Bob. I'm a 4.5 yr. old, Catahoula/Mix, neutered male and weigh approx. 40 lbs. Catahoula's are not very common in the Western part of the U.S. but very common in southern states like Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana where I'm the state dog! I'm current on my vaccines and microchipped. I'm a sociable guy but need a strong handler who understands my sensitivities. I'm an active, assertive, intelligent dog (true to my herding/hunting breed) and need to be in a active home where I'll get lots of attention and outside activity. I love to run and it's been said that I'm poetry in motion!! I love the outdoors, long walks, the beach, lakes and swimming pools. Fetching a tennis ball and catching a rope in mid air and bringing them back to you are high on my activity list too. I also know commands like sit, down and shake. Plus I'm a good car traveler. My house manners are quite good. I'm housebroken, been in a crate but prefer to sleep near your bed or under it. I'm an excellent watch dog as well. I'm usually fine with other amiable dogs my size or smaller but if they're bigger than me and I don't know them yet, I may get a little uncomfortable. I've not lived with cats and consider them prey. Therefore, I need to be part of an "active" household where someone is home most of the time to interact with me and I'd prefer to be the only dog. My owners also need to be experienced dog owners with older children (18 and up). Inactivity would be a major problem for me. Come and meet me soon. Note: PLEASE read the info at dogbreedinfo.com on my breed to make sure I'm the right dog for your family and lifestyle.

Pet Network dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all shots. Our dogs live in nurturing foster homes and are socialized with people, children and other pets. Some of our foster parents are dog trainers, so sometimes there is the extra benefit of some obedience training while in the foster home.
The dogs come to us many times due to situations and living conditions caused by abusive or irresponsible owners. Through no fault of their own, they suffer from being surplus, unwanted and thrown away.
Won't you find room in your heart and home to adopt one of these deserving animals? They will love you for it forever.
